Health and Safety

In order that we maintain appropriate standards of health and safety, you are responsible for disclosing any prior medical or physical conditions on this form and also to the teacher before the class starts. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of the course please consult your doctor. You expressly acknowledge that engagement in dance under the care and supervision of Twinkle Dance Company Limited in the course of tuition or as a matter of free form dance in social dance engagement, is a physical activity of medium to high aerobic demand and that engagement in dance may occasion falls, sprains or twisted ligaments, respiratory or cardiovascular stress (in persons with respiratory or cardiovascular disabilities). The student/attendee (or parent/guardian) covenants with Twinkle Dance Company Limited that the student/attendee has sought all appropriate medical advice prior to the acceptance of this invitation to ensure the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) is in good physical condition fully able to undertake the aerobic demands of dance (including without limitation fast tempo dance) at the date hereof and further, the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) accepts and assumes all responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or adverse consequence suffered by the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) as a result of engaging in dance and indemnifies Twinkle Dance Company Limited in respect of any claim by or through the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) in the event of injury to or demise of the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) as a consequence of engaging in dance class hosted in Twinkle Dance Company Limited or its partnering locations, excluding only loss or damage suffered as a direct consequence of negligent breach of duty of care by Twinkle Dance Company Limited.  Parent/guardian is solely responsible for the safety of the student/attendee before and after the children class at school premises. The student/attendee (or parent/guardian) acknowledges that some physical contact may be necessary by the course instructor.

 

Liability

Twinkle Dance Company Limited does not accept liability for personal injury or death of any student/attendee (or parent/guardian) in Twinkle Dance Company Limited or its partnering locations unless directly caused by the proven negligence of the company or its staff.

 

Exclusions and Withdrawals

If a/an student/attendee is persistently disruptive, have infectious disease or with any symptoms of one (such as high temperature, cough, runny nose, fever or rash), or if we feel their attendance affects the good atmosphere of the course, we have the right to exclude them from the class. Twinkle Dance has the right to examine the student/attendee true copy of HKID/PASSPORT/BIRTH CERTIFICATE for verification on the registered information, failure to do so may result in the withdrawal to Twinkle Dance classes.

 

Class Fees

Class fees are based on the number of sessions during the term and excludes any public holiday. Current students have priority for re-enrolment in the same class. We will open up the place to other students if we do not receive your payment before the open-class week (last week of each term). **Spots of Summer Term and September Term are first come first serve. So please settle the payments as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Twinkle Dance Company Limited only accept payment by cash, EPS, cheque or bank transfer. Please write cheque payable to “Twinkle Dance Company Limited” and the full name of the student/attendee at the back of the cheque. For bank transfer, please ensure you pass the bank advice to the front desk staff of Twinkle Dance Company Limited once the payment is made. Class fees are non-refundable nor transferable under any circumstances including non-controllable events like wars, civil riots, acts of terrorism, epidemics, acts of nature, fires, strikes, government restriction or other circumstances beyond Twinkle Dance Company Limited’s control. We have the right to refrain students from enjoying our service and our classes if payment is not settled or informed.

 

Administrative Fee

An administrative fee of HK$500 will be made for special circumstances, subject to the approval of Twinkle Dance Company Limited.

 

Class Change Request

Students must remain in the same class until the end of the term. For any class change during the term a Class Change Request Form is required to be completed and submitted with an administrative fee of HK$500 on the arrangement. All Class Change Request Form and administration fee must be submitted at least seven (7) calendar days before the expected date of class change. All class change is subject to approval of Twinkle Dance Company Limited after considering class situations, including but not limited to, class availability, open class, wait-list and make-up class students, partnering location, etc.

 

Open Class (Except for Classes Age 12 And Up)

Parents/guardians of students who signed-up for classes by term will be invited to the open class. Open class will be scheduled on the last session of each term. Each student may only bring a specified number of guest(s) to the open class. Parent/ guardian are welcome to go inside and watch the class during the scheduled period.

 

Ballet with Mommy Class (Applicable ONLY to Children’s Class)

Only one parent/ guardian is allowed to attend the Ballet with Mommy with the student/attendee. Parent/ guardian should wear comfortable clothing with socks.

 

Absences, Make-Up Classes & Cancelled Classes

Maximum of two (2) make-up classes may be arranged within the current term. No make-up classes will be provided for partnering locations, and during the open-class week (last week of the term). No make-up class can be arranged if the student/attendee missed the open-class, camps, workshops, and production team classes.  No make-up class can be arranged for class cancelled due to non-controllable events like wars, civil riots, acts of terrorism, epidemics, acts of nature, fires, strikes, government restriction or other circumstances beyond Twinkle Dance Company Limited’s control. Make-up class form should be completed and submitted at least 7 days prior to the date of make-up class.

 

Bad Weather Policy

In the interest of the student/attendee’s safety, Twinkle Dance Company Limited reserves the right to cancel classes when a venue is deemed dangerous due to inclement weather.

Amber & Red Rainstorm/  Typhoon No. 1 or 3	School operates as usual.	School operates as usual.
Black Rainstorm/ Typhoon No. 8 above	When Black Rainstorm/Typhoon No. 8 or above issued:  (i) on/after 7:30am, all classes that begin between 9:00am to 2:30pm will be cancelled. (ii) on/after 12:30pm, all classes that begin between 2:30pm to 7:00pm will be cancelled. (iii) during class, the class shall continue. All classes afterward will be cancelled. No refund/credit/make-up when classes are cancelled due to bad weather.	When Black Rainstorm/Typhoon No. 8 or above issued:  (i) on/after 7:30am, all classes that begin between 9:00am to 12:00pm will be cancelled. (ii) on/after 10:00am,  all classes that begin between 12:00pm to 6:00pm will be cancelled. (iii) on/after 4:00pm, all classes that begin between 6:00pm to 9:00pm will be cancelled. (iv) during class, the class shall continue. All classes afterward will be cancelled. No refund/credit/make-up when classes are cancelled due to bad weather.

 

Uniform

All students are required to wear uniforms in accordance with Twinkle Dance Company Limited school policy. No undergarments are to be worn. No socks are to be worn with jazz shoes. Adult ballet students are required to put on ballet shoes. For further information on uniform policy, please visit https://twinkledance.com/uniforms/. Twinkle Dance Company Limited has the right to refrain students from enjoying our service and our classes if proper uniform is not worn.

 

Washroom Policy

Twinkle Dance Company Limited will not be responsible for bringing or accompanying the student/attendee to the washroom. If the student/attendee will need assistance to the washroom during class time, parent/guardian is required to remain at the reception area outside the classroom, where teacher can easily hand over student/attendee to their parent/guardian as needed. 

 

Food & Beverages

No food or drinks are allowed inside Twinkle Dance Company Limited’s premises.

 

Photography and Other Media

Twinkle Dance Company Limited and its business partner / teacher reserves the right to use photographs/video taken in-class for marketing and promotional purposes. For parents/guardians, photos and videos may ONLY be taken during open class, and focusing only on their own child and not on the other children. Photos/videos taken by parents/guardian can only be for personal use. Twinkle Dance Company Limited reserves the right to stop parents/guardians from taking the photo/video when disruption to class occurs inside/outside the studio.

 

Live Stream Classes 

Live stream class/ Meeting Link is strictly prohibited from being shared with others who are not invited by Twinkle Dance Company Limited. Twinkle Dance Company Limited’s age policy also applies to live stream class. Same appropriate in-class behaviour is expected during these live stream classes. Class fees settled/ arrangement confirmed for the live stream dance class are non-refundable, non-transferable nor credit. Class might be cancelled due to any non-controllable events, like wars, civil riots, acts of terrorism, epidemics, acts of nature, fires, strikes, government restriction or other circumstances beyond Twinkle Dance Company Limited’s control and no make-up classes will be arranged. No make-up classes can be arrange for any missed live stream class. The class is an one-way communication by the teacher. Teacher will determine the pace of the class. No chatting will be engaged between students. Teacher will have the right to ask student to leave or end the live stream platform for any inappropriate behaviour or disturbance in the class.

All teachers and students conducting the class will be able to see each other.  No video recording, photography or sharing is allowed. To protect the interest of our participants and Twinkle Dance Company Limited, Twinkle Dance Company Limited may take legal action for any breach on the privacy. Students/ users must evaluate the risks when using Zoom application for the session, Twinkle Dance Company Limited will not be responsible for any loss or liability associated with it.
