Adult Ballet Exam Online Application

RAD Ballet exam is scheduled in May or June every year at Twinkle Dance. Twinkle Dance’s regular ballet program is here for you to obtain a recognition from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exam. Our training classes break down the syllabi into small easy-to-grasp pieces. From warm-up, barre, center, partner work to character dances and cool down, every student will receive step-to-step guidance by our experienced teachers. Our classes provide ample time for thorough syllabi understanding, training up technique, skills, and confidence.

 

EXAMINATIONS AND CLASS AWARD DETAILS 

DATE: May to June 2022

EXAMINATION CENTRE: Twinkle Dance Company Studios

*Exact date and time will be later announced by the Hong Kong Examinations Authority.

*Examinations and class awards dates are scheduled by the Hong Kong Examinations Authority. Please note, it might be scheduled on a school day, and that the scheduled date and time CANNOT be changed and there are NO refunds.

*No rescheduling of the examinations and class award date/ time can be made if the student is absent on examination day (including sickness with medical certificate).

 

*Students are required to enroll FULL TERM, starting from January 1st, 2022 to June 30th, 2022. 

*Students must maintain 80% of the attendance until the examinations/ class awards have been completed.

PREPARATIONS

Students who apply for the Graded Exam MUST:

  • Take 2 ballet classes per week   
  • Attend a Mock Exam at the examination center prior to the actual examinations/ class awards. Students are required to dress in the appropriate examination attire and present their work as if for the real examinations/class awards. 

*If a student fails to enrol into 2 ballet classes per week, he/ she will be disqualified from taking the examinations/ class awards. Examinations and class awards fees will not be refunded.

UNIFORMS

Students are required to dress in CLEAN and PROPER attire with appropriate hair accessories (invisible hair net, proper hair pins, hair tie).

FEMALE
Age 12+ to Adult

(Grade 6-8  Exam)

– Classic styled leotard, Mid-calf length skirt in soft material (georgette or chiffon), and a long scarf.

  *to be assigned by Twinkle Dance

– Peach pink dance tights and pink leather, full insole ballet shoes with ribbons (without any patterns).

– Black Tutulamb character skirt and shoes.
MALE
Age 12+ to Adult

(Grade 6-8  Exam)

– White leotard with navy pants, and a long cloak.

– White leather ballet shoes with white socks. (No street clothing is allowed)

– Black character shoes.

 

EXAMINATION FORMAT

Under the Hong Kong Examinations Authority, the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Examinations and Class Awards will be examined by an overseas examiner assigned by the Royal Academy of Dance at Twinkle Dance studios. However, with COVID-19 still prevailing at the moment, there might be a chance that an overseas examiner is unable to travel to Hong Kong for the examination due to government policies or restrictions. In this case, the examinations and class awards will be conducted in the form of filmed examination.  There will be no refund if you are unable to attend the filmed examination. Details will be announced in due course.  

 

SPECIAL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

In view of the COVID-19 situation, Twinkle Dance will continue to review and assess the situation. Special precautionary measures will be implemented in accordance with the real time situation. All examination candidates must follow the health and safety guidelines implemented by Twinkle Dance and/ or the Hong Kong Examinations Authority.  

*Twinkle Dance and/ or the Hong Kong Examinations Authority have the right to withdraw the candidates who do not meet the health and safety guidelines from conducting the examinations and class award. Examinations and Class Award Fees will not be refunded in these circumstances.

Examinations and Class Award Fees

  • Twinkle Dance Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Twinkle Dance”) regret that the fees paid under the Ballet Examinations and Class Awards 2022 are non-refundable under any circumstances including non-controllable events. 

 

Examinations and Class Award Date

  • Please note that examinations and class awards dates are scheduled by Hong Kong Examinations Authority. Examinations and Class Awards date might be scheduled on a school day; It CANNOT be changed and there are NO refunds.

  • Students are required to enroll FULL TERM, starting from January 1st, 2022 to June 20th, 2022. Twinkle Dance has the right to withdraw the examinee from examination/class award if the student fails to enroll full term, examination/class award fees will not be refunded. 
  • Students must maintain 80% of the attendance until the examination/class award has been completed. 
  • All students MUST take 2 ballet classes per week to apply for this examination/class award. 
  • All students MUST attend a Mock Exam prior to the actual examination/ class award.
  • Any student who fails to enrol into 2 ballet exam classes per week, he/ she will be disqualified from taking the examination/ class award. Examinations and class awards fees will not be refunded.

 

Uniforms

  • Students are required to dress in CLEAN and PROPER attire with appropriate hair accessories (invisible hair net, hair pins, hair tie).
  • Students are required to follow the uniform requirements of the examination/ class awards set by Twinkle Dance. 

 

Examination Format

  • The examinations and class awards will be conducted in the form of a physical examination examined by an overseas examiner or in the form of filmed examination.

 

Special Health and Safety Measures

  • Twinkle Dance and/ or the Hong Kong Examinations Authority have the right to withdraw the candidates who do not meet the health and safety guidelines from conducting the examinations and class awards. Examinations and Class Awards Fees will not be refunded in these circumstances.

 

Liability

  • All participants enrolled in this activity do so at their own risk and the company is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to students, their family members, and guests as a result of participating in this activity.

  • Twinkle Dance reserves the right to final interpretation of any disputes arising from this application and reserves the right to change the application contents without prior notification.
  • Any dispute connected in any way with this application will be resolved by Twinkle Dance at its absolute discretion.
