EXAMINATIONS AND CLASS AWARDS DETAILS

DATE: May to June 2021

*Exact date and time will be later announced by the Hong Kong Examinations Authority.

*Examinations and class awards dates are scheduled by Hong Kong Examinations Authority. Please note, it might be scheduled on a weekday, and that the scheduled date and time CANNOT be changed and there are NO refunds.

*No rescheduling of the examinations and class awards date/ time can be made if the student is absent on examination day (including sickness with medical certificate).

 

EXAMINATION CENTRE: Twinkle Dance Company Studios

*Students are required to enroll FULL TERM in RAD Examination Classes, starting from February 1st, 2021 until examination has been completed. 

*Students must stay in the SAME class and maintain 90% of the attendance until the examination has been completed.

 

PREPARATIONS

All Grade 6 & 7 exam students MUST: 

  • Enroll FULL TERM and take 2 RAD Examination Classes per week to apply for this examination.
  • Attend a Mock Exam prior to the actual examination/ class award. In which, students are to arrive at the examination center, dress in the appropriate examination attire and present their work as if for the real examinations/class awards.

*If a student fails to enrol into FULL TERM in RAD Examination Classes, he/ she will not be eligible for the examination. Examination fees will not be refunded.

  • The RAD examination classes will be conducted in the form of in-studio physical class or live stream class, with the advise under the government’s COVID-19 regulations.  
  • When in-studio physical classes are available at Twinkle Dance, all students must attend in-studio physical exam classes and NO live stream exam classes will be offered alternatively.  

*In view of the COVID-19 situation, the classes will be conducted in-studio physically or via live stream with accordance to the government’s social gathering regulations.  Changes of class time may occur.  Alternative class time will be offered depending on the government’s social gathering regulations and students must select one class time in order to fulfil the class requirements.

*If the capacity of in-studio physical classes are restricted under the government’s regulations, changes of class time might occur in order to fulfil the regulations.  The exam class enrolling priorities will be given according to the order of students’ completed application date.  

*Twinkle Dance reserves the right to apply changes of the exam classes with accordance to real-time situation.  

 

UNIFORMS

Students are required to dress in CLEAN and PROPER attire with appropriate hair accessories (invisible hair net, proper hair pins,hair tie).

 

Grade 6 & Grade 7 Female -Classic styled leotard, Mid-calf length skirt in soft material (georgette or chiffon), and a long scarf.  *to be assigned by Twinkle Dance

-Peach pink dance tights and pink leather, full insole ballet shoes with ribbons (without any patterns). 

-Black Tutulamb character skirt and shoes.

Grade 6 & Grade 7 Male -White leotard with navy pants, and a long cloak.  

-White leather ballet shoes with white socks. (No street clothing is allowed)

-Black character shoes.

 

EXAMINATION FORMAT

Under the Hong Kong Examinations Authority, the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Examinations and Class Awards will be examined by an overseas examiner assigned by the Royal Academy of Dance at Twinkle Dance studios. However, with COVID-19 still prevailing at the moment, there might be a chance that an overseas examiner is unable to travel to Hong Kong for the examination due to government policies or restrictions. In this case, the examinations and class awards will be conducted in the form of filmed examination.  There will be no refund if you are unable to attend the filmed examination.  Details will be announced in due course. 

SPECIAL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

In view of the COVID-19 situation, Twinkle Dance will continue to review and assess the situation. Special precautionary measures will be implemented in accordance with the real time situation.  All examination candidates must follow the health and safety guidelines implemented by Twinkle Dance and/ or the Hong Kong Examinations Authority.  

*Twinkle Dance and/ or the Hong Kong Examinations Authority have the right to withdraw the candidates who do not meet the health and safety guidelines from conducting the examinations and class awards. Examinations and Class Awards Fees will not be refunded in these circumstances.

Please submit the application form and relevant documents with payment settled on or before Sunday January 31st 2021 for successful entries.  Late entries will not be accepted.

Examinations and Class Awards Fees

  • Twinkle Dance Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Twinkle Dance”) regret that the fees paid under the Ballet Examinations and Class Awards 2021 are non-refundable under any circumstances including non-controllable events.  

Examinations and Class Awards Date

  • Please note that examinations and class awards dates are scheduled by Hong Kong Examinations Authority. Examinations and Class Awards date might be scheduled on a weekday; It CANNOT be changed and there are NO refunds.

  • The examinations and class awards will be conducted in form of physical examination examined by an oversea examiner or in form of filmed examination.  

Special Health and Safety Measures

  • Twinkle Dance and/ or the Hong Kong Examinations Authority have the right to withdraw the candidates who does not meet the health and safety guidelines from conducting the examinations and class awards. Examinations and Class Awards Fees will not be refunded in these circumstances. 

Liability

  • All participants enrolled in this activity do so at their own risk and the company is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to students, their family members, and guests as a result of participating in this activity. 

Disclaimer

  • Twinkle Dance reserves the right to final interpretation of any disputes arising from this application and reserves the right to change the application contents without prior notification. 
  • Any dispute connected in any way with this application will be resolved by Twinkle Dance at its absolute discretion.
